Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 September 2026

These terms of service (the "Terms", « CGU » in the French version) govern the use of the Tangent service, available at https://riskybusinesses.uk. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms without reservation.

⚠️ Tangent is not investment advice. The analyses, projections, portfolio optimisations and indicators it provides are tools to support your own personal decisions. Under no circumstances do they constitute regulated financial advice within the meaning of article L. 541-1 of the Code monétaire et financier (the French Monetary and Financial Code). Every investment decision is entirely yours.

1. Service publisher

The Tangent service is published by:
Clément Gardair, a natural person, as a personal, non-commercial project.
76 rue de Rochechouart, 75009 Paris, France.
Contact: [email protected]

2. Description of the service

Tangent is a personal wealth aggregator intended for individual users. It lets you:

The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuity or completeness. It may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. Account creation

Using the service requires creating an account with an email address and password, or through a third-party OAuth provider (Google or Apple). You undertake to:

You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account.

4. Permitted and prohibited uses

You undertake to use the service fairly and in accordance with the law. The following in particular are prohibited:

Any breach may lead to the immediate suspension of the account, without notice or refund.

5. Financial disclaimer

Tangent provides no regulated investment advice. The content of the service (analyses, projections, recommended allocations, stress scenarios, risk scoring) consists of algorithmic indicators based on the data you provide and on market assumptions (for example CMAs — Capital Market Assumptions). They inherently carry uncertainty and modelling bias.

Before any investment decision, you are encouraged to consult an authorised Conseiller en Investissement Financier (CIF, a French registered financial investment adviser) or another regulated professional.

6. Bank data and PSD2

The connection to your bank accounts is operated by Powens (Linxo Group), a bank aggregation provider authorised under PSD2 by the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR, the French banking supervisor). Your bank credentials never pass through Tangent: they are entered directly on the secure interface of Powens or Enable Banking, or of your bank.

You can revoke access to a bank account at any time from the Tangent interface or from the aggregator's portal.

7. Intellectual property

The source code, interface, analysis algorithms and editorial content of the service are the property of the publisher. The data you enter or aggregate remains your full and exclusive property. You grant the publisher a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence limited to what is strictly necessary to provide the service.

8. Availability and maintenance

The publisher endeavours to keep the service accessible 24 hours a day, but guarantees no level of availability (no SLA). The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or in the event of a technical incident, without notice or compensation.

9. Limitation of liability

The publisher cannot be held liable for:

As the service is provided free of charge, and the publisher is a natural person with no commercial activity, total aggregate liability is in any event limited to the direct loss actually suffered, capped at zero euros (the service being free).

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the interface or by writing to [email protected]. Deletion results in the immediate erasure of all your associated data (see the privacy policy).

The publisher may suspend or terminate your account at any time in the event of a breach of these Terms, abusive use, or for any legitimate reason, after reasonable notice except in urgent cases.

11. Changes to the Terms

The publisher may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes are notified by email. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the jurisdiction of the Cour d'appel de Paris (the Paris Court of Appeal), unless a mandatory public-policy provision provides otherwise for the benefit of the consumer.

In accordance with article L. 612-1 of the Code de la consommation (the French Consumer Code), you may use a consumer mediator free of charge in the event of a dispute that remains unresolved after a prior written complaint to the publisher.
